What a fabulous morning we had for our annual Lapathon. The weather was kind to us as our students ran, skipped and walked around the track at St James Park.   It was great to see everyone involved (mums, dads, grandparents & dogs) as they challenged each other to complete a record number of laps of the circuit.

Special thanks to James, Eliza, Erin and the office staff for their planning of this event and to the teaching staff for their enthusiastic participation in this activity. Thank you also to Nathan Cruickshank  (Patrick 3/4) and Janine Kelly (Rahni 3/4) and their team of volunteers for their organisation of the sausage sizzle and cake stall.

We had terrific support today from our parent community – recording laps, cheering and encouraging the children, preparing and serving the special lunch and baking and selling goodies at the cake stall.  Many thanks to you all.

All children who raise money will go into a draw to win a special prize.

Children who complete the most laps will be invited to a special morning tea. There is also a grand prize for the family who raised the most money and the family who completed the most laps.

This year, donations will be made through GalaBid, which is an online system allowing you to make donations for the student of your choice from Hawthorn West Primary School.

Please see Galabid Lapathon Instructions on how to donate.
